We had a great night in the Castle and a fabulous breakfast to start the day. I don't think I have seen such a variety on a breakfast buffet from a charcuterie selection to breads and cereals to a full Irish Breakfast! Absolutely first class service. It had been raining quite often overnight but we started seeing some blue sky as we were having breakfast. A quick check of the weather radar forecast showed clearing for the rest of the day so we decided to head to the Donegal Coast to view some more coastal cliffs called Sliabh Liag.
Again, a lot of secondary road driving but the tourists and the big busses are getting fewer as this is not an area on most tours.
The closest town to the cliffs is Teelin and there is a visitor centre where you can pick up a shuttle buss to take you to the touring platform to view the area and do some exploring. This was a good choice as it would have been a few hours of uphill and down hill walking to get there and we didn't have the time to attempt that.
These cliffs are much higher than the Cliffs of Moher and looked spectacular. Lots of free range sheep around that keep the grass manacured.
From here we drove an additional couple of hours to the town of Annagry and spent the night in a nice hotel by the sea. Lots of sheep roaming the roads so always had to be alert.
